CHURCH PLANTING

The Story

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

-JAMES 2:14-18

So many Cambodians live in difficult and poor conditions. Food insecurity, lack of education for children, lack of jobs, poor drinking water, and lack of sanitation all contribute to a life of illness and struggle.

As we care for the physical needs of people, following James 2:14-18 as our guide, we then have great opportunity to share Jesus Christ with each village. This effort has led Cambodia Impact to plant many house churches and hold Bible studies in local villages.

The Impact Today

House churches are a key part of our strategy in reaching the people of Cambodia for Christ. The primary work of Cambodia Impact is done through local pastors and churches to ensure our commitment to an approach that honors the culture and customs of the Cambodian people. Sharing the Good News of Jesus in each village - while improving the water, sanitation, and educational opportunities - is an effective approach to building the Kingdom . . . one village at a time!
