Christmas is an important and exciting time of the year in Cambodia. Food, fellowship, and excitement are the hallmarks of this season as our ministry partners provide a great meal and a message of hope to their communities. It is a time when many villagers are particularly open to the Gospel and willing to listen as we share the Good News with them.

The culmination of a challenging year, our fruitful 2021 Christmas outreach resulted in many new believers accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and many joining a house church. In addition to a Christmas message and a meal for all, there was food distribution including rice, fish sauce, soy sauce, noodles and water. In some cases medicine was provided to those that were sick.

We are grateful to our donors and our ministry partners for an amazing year. What an honor to come alongside our Cambodian brothers and sisters as they help each other to weather the ongoing Covid storm and the increased poverty it has brought to their country.

Here are some highlights of all that we accomplished together this Christmas and in 2021.

In Svay Kang and the surrounding villages there were:

  • 72 new converts to Christ at Christmas

  • 250 families fed with enough meals for two weeks

  • 145 new believers added in 2021

In Sisophon and the five house churches around the city there were:

  • 27 new converts to Christ

  • 120 families fed for two weeks

In the five house churches along the Thailand border there were:

  • 23 new converts

  • 67 families were fed for two weeks

  • 27 new followers of Christ added in 2021

All Cambodians are welcome to these services, and everyone with a need for food, water, and medicine is assisted regardless of their cultural or religious practices. Our intent is to be a blessing to all in the name of Jesus.

In the south of Cambodia, around Phnom Penh and the surrounding provinces, we reached:

  • 158 new converts at FFCC (Faithful Family of Christ Church) in Phnom Penh.

  • 280 new converts in Svay Rieng Province.

  • 120 new converts in Kampong Cham Province.

  • 80 new converts in Kampong Speu and Kandal Provinces.

In addition, 1,417 students received backpacks which were filled with much-needed school supplies. This enabled many Cambodian children to attend school since their families could not afford to purchase the necessary materials for school.

So, we joyfully welcomed 837 Cambodians to the family of God this past year, much of it accomplished through the Christmas outreach program. Thank you for your faithful support as you partner with us to fulfill this fruitful ministry.

Blessings to you!
John and Linda

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
